Large Capacitor Bank Project

These pages describe Pulsed Power Experiments in a new order of magnitude compared with the old experiments:

In our team a mechatronic technician, two physicists and a computer scientist work together in our laboratory. We have got around 4 tons of high energy storage capacitors to our disposal.

- storage energy: 40.000 Joules
- max. Voltage rating: 12.000 Volts
- capacitance: 560uF
- pulsed power peak: 500 MW

Future experiments will include high speed electromagnetic acceleration and forming experiments, pulsed plasma experiments, under water shock wave generation for material machining.
